Celebrity Closets

A closet is a girl's best friend! I dream of having a closet like this one day, but I would probably not ever have one as large as Mariah's. I think that any closet can be made darling: just organize it, paint it, add curtains instead of a door and use wooden hangers. Voila!!

Sex and the City Replica closet that someone had designed for their home. This project cost them $175,000. Wow, that's a price for a home! :)

Mariah Carey's Closet

Mariah Carey's Closet

This is outrageous, it's the size of a department store. I think if I remember correctly, on Oprah she said her closet was an entire floor of her multiple story apartment.

Nicky Hilton's Closet

Miley Cyrus's Shoe Closet

Eva Longoria's Closet

Paris Hiton's Closet

I'm proud of Paris; it's not overdone, just cute and colorful. In love with the chandelier!

Fashion Star Anna Sui's Closet

Striking!! I'm obsessed with the ottoman and pretty much the overall look of this room.

Oh, how I love built-ins! For years I've been watching Candice Olson put built-ins into almost every space she designs. They make huge statements in almost every room. They also provide storage and are great for displaying family pictures, heirlooms and any other items that you want to be seen. I love the look of a wall of books (though I'm not much of a reader; that's why you don't see many words on my blog, I like pictures) as it appears sophisticated and timeless. Below are a few pictures of rooms that are centered around built-ins. Enjoy!

Now, that's a lot of storage baskets! I favor shelves that have a bit more to offer other than just baskets. I love these chairs, Pier 1 one has similar chairs, only the hole is a lot bigger (but the look great and I'm sure they are way cheaper than these).

What a darling room! Quick, inexpensive way to get the look of those modern lamps, go to any garage sale, second hand store, or a place like Goodwill and buy a cheap lamp thats shape sticks out to you. Go to Walmart, Target, or any hardware store that sells paint, and buy high gloss white spray paint. Clean your lamp off and spray paint it, it turn any cheap ugly lamp into an expensive chic modern lamp! I also use glossy black. (It doesn't have to be the expensive paint either, I actually use the cheapest.) I will never buy a lamp at full price again.

My First Award

I thought I would show you guys some designs from my favorite designer Candice Olson. Since I was telling you a bit about myself, I figured I would tell you who I call my design idol. I did my very first post on her and will always do posts with her designs in them. She is amazing and I hope to one day be half the designer. So, below are 3 rooms I could just dive into-- completely my style. Also, below are a few things about me.

Thanks to the lovely Heather from Simply Heather, I was awarded my first award (maybe my last?! :)) I can't tell enough you how much I appreciate this award, it gives me such confidence in my blog. Knowing that people view my blog and enjoy it makes me soooo happy! I hope I can continue to keep my readers satisfied!

Ten things you may not know about me:

1) I'm from a town in Kansas that has less then 1,000 people. But I've since moved away from that tiny town! :)

2) Even though I may seem to love all things "girl", I actually have quite a bit of tomboy in me.

3) I have an Orange Bowl Ring (well, actually a pendant because the girls were given necklaces. Don't worry I wasn't a player! :))

4) I'm a football and basketball FREAK! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

5) I'm one of the most competitive people you could ever meet. (I have strategies for tic tac toe.)

6) I love Celine Dion!

7) I'm an only child, but people tell me I'm not like your usual only child. I think that's a good thing. :)

8) I am the co-owner and co-creator of a one-of-a-kind website. We are hoping that its turn into a full time career. www.divinetablescapedivas.com.

9) I have a designer handbag addiction. I'm trying to ween myself off of this addiction at the moment.

10) I'm a private person. :)

I'm going to give some awards in a few days, I gotta look through my blog list. I just love so many!

Grasscloth Walls

Ever since I started watching Brothers and Sisters, I have fallen in love with grass cloth covered walls for its classic look. They make a space look so amazing and chic. You can cover an entire room or a small section, it is that versatile. It will make a statement in any room.

DW Element

I'm not used to seeing colored grass cloth, it usually neutral colors, but I do like the look of this room.
